Tristan Tate, brother of former kickboxer Andrew Tate, has been denied bail and will continue to be held in the same notorious prison as his sibling, according to a recent court ruling.
The two brothers, aged 36 and 34, have been detained in a Romanian prison since their arrest on December 29, following an investigation into allegations of human trafficking and rape.
Bail Rejected for Both Tate Brothers
Yesterday, Andrew Tate’s bail application was denied, and today Tristan also lost his attempt to be released under house arrest.
Both Tate brothers remain in custody, along with former police officer Luana Radu, who is also under investigation.
Bucharest Court spokesperson Judge Gabriela Risnoveanu told The Sun Online: “Their requests have been rejected.
Tristan Tate requested bail with judicial control, while Luana Radu sought house arrest. Both parties have 48 hours to appeal the decision.
Ongoing Legal Struggles and Appeals
This news follows last month’s rejection of Tate’s appeal against his arrest, which led to an additional 30-day extension of his incarceration.
The siblings had previously lost two appeals against similar 30-day extensions, which have kept them imprisoned during the ongoing investigation.
Andrew Tate has frequently expressed his discontent with prison life on social media and through emails to his subscribers, complaining about the harsh conditions and criticizing his supporters.
Allegations and Investigation Continues
The brothers have been detained for over 10 weeks on charges of human trafficking, organized crime, and rape, with their associates Georgiana Naghel and Luana Radu also being investigated.
Both Tate brothers deny all allegations against them.
Controversial influencer Andrew Tate has developed a following, particularly among teenage boys, through his online empire built on content that many consider to be highly sexist and promoting violence against women.
A spokesperson for Tristan Tate said: “The court has decided to reject Tristan Tate’s request for bail. Both brothers are disappointed in this outcome, especially Tristan, who is very eager to meet his newborn daughter. However, he will continue to stay with his brother while they support each other through this frustrating time. His legal team will be appealing this decision within the 48-hour time frame.”
