YouTuber and boxer Jake Paul has accepted a challenge from KSI to fight in August, after UFC fighter Nate Diaz faced charges for knocking out a Logan Paul lookalike. Diaz was involved in a brawl at the Misfits x DAZN Series 006 boxing event, during which he threw a water bottle at celebrity Chase DeMoorput, who then knocked out YouTuber Stevie Knight. Diaz later put Rodney Peterson, who looked like Logan Paul, in a chokehold, causing him to go unconscious. The New Orleans Police Department issued an arrest warrant for Diaz for second-degree battery.
Taking advantage of the situation, KSI offered to replace Diaz as Paul’s opponent in August, after his own fight with Joe Fournier in May. Paul accepted KSI as a backup opponent, and the details of the fight have already been discussed, including the weight class and rehydration clauses.
The potential Paul vs KSI fight is expected to be highly competitive, with both YouTubers having significant followings and experience in the ring. However, it is still unclear if Diaz’s legal troubles will prevent him from fighting Paul in August.
Regardless, whoever ends up fighting Paul is expected to face a tough challenge, as the YouTuber aims to add another win to his record following his split-decision loss to Tommy Fury. The fight between Paul and KSI, should it happen, is anticipated to be an exciting event for both the boxing and YouTube communities.
