YouTube celebrity iShowSpeed has faced a tidal wave of backlash following an in-person stream at the zoo, with critics accusing him of committing “animal abuse”.
With a rapid surge in popularity, iShowSpeed is undoubtedly one of the fastest-growing streamers out there right now. In fact, this year has seen the 17-year-old explode onto our screens!
Nevertheless, the streamer has encountered multiple controversies since attaining stardom. In particular, he went viral in April after an old video of him insulting a female partner during Valorant came to light again.
Recently, he was heavily criticized for being “racist” when he said “konnichiwa” to an Asian fan, despite the fact that they had clarified they were Chinese.
There has been public outcry against him due to his “animal abuse” during an IRL stream at the Zoo.

On December 16, the popular YouTube star headed to the Zoo in his exciting live stream event.
Maintaining his signature energetic persona, which has endeared him to many of his fans, he was often seen in similar settings. Unfortunately for the streamer, videos showcasing him tormenting animals have recently surfaced and provoked criticism from viewers.
During his visit to the zoo, the YouTuber was observed vociferously shouting and barking at various animals, which has been perceived by many as a form of animal abuse.
“It makes me so mad.. how can people not see that this is just animal cruelty? Tigers stoned on chains that aren’t aggressive at all? Strange It hurts and the excuse ‘they don’t know any better’ just doesn’t work,” one critic wrote on Twitter.
